The textures, the layers, the stories of this place—these are the building blocks of our designs. Our work is meant to feel homey and grounded, yet cultured and dynamic. We seek out beauty in every detail, but we also embrace imperfection, knowing that it is these imperfections that give each space its character and soul.
Founder and Principal Designer Chelsea Miller brings more than 27 years of experience spanning interior design, luxury retail, procurement, and high-end manufacturing. Born in Sausalito and raised in Petaluma, Chelsea's Northern California roots, combined with a lifelong passion for travel, design, and collecting beautiful objects, inform her thoughtful and layered approach. She believes the most compelling homes are those that tell a story—reflecting not only a client's style, but their experiences, values, and aspirations.

The Good Ave Design Story
Good Ave Design Studio was born from an evolution. After 5 years of building and running my retail shop and interior design studio, OLIVE + ROSE, I felt a shift happening in my life. A pull to live my own life more fearlessly. To tap into what I feel most passionate about which is bringing authenticity to bespoke projects. To look less at what trends are happening in our area and bring the world of interiors to Sonoma County and beyond. Good Ave is a story about art, travel, entertaining, family and a life lived beautifully.
Whether working on a new build, a full scope remodel, or sourcing and procuring the perfect furnishings, we focus on materials and design that feel generational and timeless. Our design process is about writing a story for every home that encompasses the essence of individuality.
Chelsea Miller
Owner & Creative Director
Chelsea Miller is an interior designer with over 20 years of experience in interiors, retail and manufacturing. Her background has given her a unique perspective into all aspects of the world of interiors but especially in regards to the quality of how things are made.
This passion for selecting pieces that last, set her apart from the fast fashion world of interiors. From working with the best craftspeople and contractors, to sourcing the highest quality furnishings, Chelsea brings a passion for living with modern heirlooms to each project.
